Our Story: From Vision to Care
Manatee Eye Care was founded in 2022 by Dr. Robert Rego, a former ophthalmology professor at Nova Southeastern University, with a clear mission: deliver expert care in accessible spaces without the limitations of high-volume chains.
What began as a single opportunity quickly grew into three locations across Englewood, Osprey, and Sarasota. Though the clinics operate inside Walmart and SEE Optical, the care is fully independent. It’s driven by experience and always focused on the patient first.
